Take It Outside, Already!

68 degrees in NYC in the middle of March calls for an outside run. Pink crystal headphones? Check.  Black Nikes A la Kim Khardasian's? Check. New ipod playlist led by Katy Perry's "Part of me"? Check. There's nothing like the view of the east river ( see above, yes that's a homeless man in the corner of the photo posing for me ).  All you can really see is a bunch of run down buildings across the way, but there's something about the FDR on your right and pollution to your left that makes it feel oh so New York.  I'm an east side, downtown girl and yes it's no west side highway with it's fancy piers and lawn areas, but the east side has an old school NYC feeling about it.  It's the perfect mix of shady drug dealers and young professionals, ah heaven.  A west side run view encompasses a sampling of roller bladers/serious biker types/stroller workout club mommies doing their thing. Wherever your thing may take you I hope it takes you outdoors today for a rare NYC moment. Let the river run, NYC...
